The
required
text is BIOLOGY, 7th Edition (2005), by Campbell and Reece. You may also
use the
older (6th) edition, provided you take responsibility for determining
the correspondence between pages and chapters in the two editions.
Although lecture
material will form the primary basis for material on the exams, the
instructor reserves the right to assign topics
that are presented in the text but not covered in lecture.

find a chapter guide, an E-book, a glossary and word study tools, and,
most importantly, several sets of self-quizzes for
each chapter. It is highly recommended that you use the
self-quizzes to assess your understanding of lecture material and to
prepare for exams.
To
encourage you
to make good use of the website, several questions from the
self-quizzes will be used verbatim in the
midterm or final exams.
