SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION LABORATORY

Advanced Techniques in Biochemistry

This laboratory course will introduce students to state-of-the-art techniques in modern biochemistry by following the steps of a receptor-initiated signaling event from the cell surface to the nucleus.

The accompaning lectures not only provide the theoretical background to the laboratory work, but also introduce the concepts of various cellular signal transduction pathways. Additional discussions of original research articles pertinent to the lecture topics and laboratory techniqes will further emphasize the relevance to current scientific research.
