General Information

Welcome to Nutrition class for the second Summer Session 2002 at the Division of Biology at UCSD taught by Dr. Lukas Buehler. This class is an introduction to various aspects of nutrition and the human body, the cellular mechanism of metabolic use of nutrients, and the structure and properties of nutraceuticals and functional foods. To guide you through the lecture, a class reader is available at the University Bookstore. This reader is an outline of the lecture and is meant as a guideline, not a substitute, for the textbook ' Advanced Human Nutrition', by Wildman and Medeiros, CRC Press, 2000.
