Welcome to the Aroian Laboratory.

We research the basic biology of infectious diseases and are actively seeking new cures for them.

We are located on the campus of the University of California, San Diego and are in the Division of Biological Sciences as part of the Section of Cell and Developmental Biology.

We currently have three areas of focus:
(1) developing new biologically-based cures for intestinal parasitic roundworms
(2) understanding the mechanism of action of bacterial pore-forming toxins and how the body protects against them
(3) understanding how target pests develop resistance to Bacillus thuringiensis crystal proteins in order to protect this valuable natural resource.

Please use the navigation bar below to learn more about our research, who we are, publications, and more.
