Postdoctoral Opportunities Available

We are seeking motivated, independent-minded scientists with an interest in cellular, molecular, or developmental neuroscience. You should have, or be near completing, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, or a subfield of Biological Sciences.

Postdocs joining the lab will be expected, after appropriate guidance and/or any necessary self-education, to lead the group's research efforts in one or more of the projects listed below. In addition, those wishing to develop and pursue their own, self-originated line of research will be encouraged to do so.

The Boulanger lab is currently located at UCSD, but will be relocating to Princeton University June 30, 2009. Princeton University provides an excellent environment for neuroscience research, and provides a strong benefits package and competitive salaries. Positions are available immediately, and we are also interviewing for positions beginning at Princeton on or after July 1, 2009.

Applicants should send a CV, the names and contact information of three references, and a summary of research interests and experience to: Lisa Boulanger, UCSD, 9500 Gilman Drive, MC 0366, La Jolla, CA 92093.

Please contact me at lboulanger@ucsd.edu if you have any questions. Lab interest areas include (for more information, click here):

1) Identification and validation of novel binding partners for MHC class I in neurons.

2) Molecular logic of neuronal MHC class I signaling.

3) Cellular mechanisms of activity-dependent plasticity and learning and memory.

4) Immune signaling in the pathogenesis of neurological disorders (with a focus on autism and schizophrenia).
