Transfer Opportunities for Success (TOpS) program addresses the specific needs of transfer students. Transfer students are often less certain about their ability to succeed at UCSD. They are also less familiar with student services and sometimes have a less positive view of their interactions with service providers on campus than students who entered UCSD as freshman. This is why we created TOpS. Its goal is to improve transfer students' academic success and their overall integration to campus and the division. We are here to help you find your way...
The Division of Biological Sciences strives to provide all students with the tools necessary to make a smooth transition from being a transfer student to becoming a thriving Biology major at UC San Diego.
TOpS is a unique partnership of Biology faculty, staff and students. It is a yearlong program that helps guide transfers along the path to graduation and future success. This program will introduce students to the division, its academic programs, support services and student organization. TOpS supports students' growth into biological leaders of tomorrow!
