ORBS (Opportunities for Research in Behavioral Sciences) is a program for high school students and undergraduates attending 2-year colleges that provides research experience for students who are traditionally underrepresented in the sciences. ORBS is strongly committed to student learning through student teaching at all grade levels, and ORBS students thus perform community outreach; educating other students about their research, their goals, and their vision. Current participants include students from San Diego City College, Southwestern College, and the Preuss School. If you are a student interested in participating in ORBS, please contact the appropriate ORBS coordinator for your school. If you would like to add your institution to the program, please contact James Nieh at jnieh@ucsd.edu.
