Systems Biology Symposium of UCSD, Salk, GNF, TSRI
First Annual Symposium on the Study and Understanding of Complex Biological Systems
A day-long symposium, Systems to Synthesis, to bring together researchers from local academic institutes and industry who are interested in studying biology at a systems level. Topics covered included diverse biological problems addressed through proteomics, cell-based functional genomics, transcriptome analyses, high-content imaging, network analysis, organismal genetics and genomics, chemical biology, computational biology, bioengineering, comparative genomics and molecular modeling. The emphasis was on technological innovations as well as how these approaches can be applied to answer complex biological questions.
